About Us
CIROS was founded in March 2018 as a student initiative aimed at fostering social cohesion within the IRO student community through a range of academic and non-academic events.
Since then, we have grown to become a registered Student Association within Leiden University, with 11 committees, several clubs, as well as several ongoing projects. We are composed of students from over 25 different nationalities.
Our mission is to build a community that every IRO student can feel a part of.

Ayan Sule
As the President of CIROS for the new academic year, it is my responsibility to oversee all CIROS activity, and serve as the key link between all university bodies and CIROS. I work with my fellow board members to ensure that our work is productive, efficient and adds a net positive to the IRO community. I am passionate and driven in my vision to make CIROS the most diverse and inclusive student environment, whilst simultaneously holding our work to a high sustainable standard.

Vice President
Audrey Nguyen
Hi, my name is Audrey, and I am the current Vice President of CIROS. My role is centered around Public Relations (PR), which means maintaining our public image vis-à-vis IRO and the external community. For this reason, the PR Committee and I work very closely to connect CIROS with the student body. Aside from maintaining CIROS’ social media presence, we work on various projects such as CIROS Mag, which I cannot wait to share with you. If you have any inquiries or suggestions regarding PR, please feel free to reach out!
Secretary
Daria Aron
As the Board's Secretary, my role is to help conduct and streamline internal administrative processes. This deals with, but not exclusively, both being the first point of contact to the organisation, as well as upkeep of the website. I have been a part of CIROS for the past 2 years, and I hope to use my expertise and help as much as I can. My priorities will be to continue standardising and streamlining the internal processes of the association, and aid in increasing communication and transparency. Cannot wait for what this year will bring!

Treasurer
Emile Safar
Hello students of IRO, I am Emile, the treasurer of CIROS for this academic year. My tasks lie in organising and supervising our budget. While much of my work is done in the background to ensure all of our events can be organized, feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about CIROS, whether you are a new student or in the upper years. With that in mind, my goal this year is to improve communication with the Committees to streamline event planning and engage all our members.

Internal Officer
Giulia Pinna
My name is Giulia, I am from Italy and I will be one of the Internals this year. Together with Fiona, my role is to bridge the responsibilities of the Board with those of Committee Heads (CH). This includes everything from helping committees brainstorm event ideas, to approving them and providing support in their execution. I am looking forward to working with my wonderful team of CHs and fellow Board members to grow CIROS. My aims are to increase membership by making CIROS a more inclusive space, have CHs work more closely with members and other student organisations, and deliver a range of unique events.
Internal Officer
Fiona Henry
Hi everyone! My name is Fiona, and I am the Internal Officer for this year along with Giulia. Together, we will manage the liaison between the board and the committees. We will provide support and assistance so that the events for this upcoming year are attuned to your needs and the flourishing of the IRO community. I look forward to aiding in creating diverse and helpful events this year! We have lots of thinks in the planning across our many committees which I cannot wait for you to see, so keep your eyes peeled!
External Officer
Mattheos Pashiourtides
Hello, my name is Mattheos, a 2nd-year student from Cyprus. I enjoy communicating with people, therefore I have chosen the position of External Affairs Officer to help enlarge the network of relations that CIROS has! I am responsible for all the collaborations and partnerships that CIROS has with external venues and fellow student associations. CIROS members can always contact me whenever they have an interesting idea about collaborating with someone, either for an event or on a permanent basis; together we can discuss how to fulfil our goal of making the CIROS community even bigger!
